Head of Casework
Prospectus is delighted to be working exclusively with The Fundraising Regulator, an independent, non-statutory body responsible for regulating fundraising across the charitable sector in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Working in partnership with other regulators and representative bodies in the charitable and fundraising sectors, The Fundraising Regulator aims to build public confidence in fundraising practices and ensure consistent fundraising standards across the UK.
As part of the SMT, the Head of Casework is a key role within the organisation, responsible for the overall management of the casework team, which includes ensuring a fit for purpose complaints function, responding to individual complaints from members of the public and overseeing any proactive investigations in response to public concern. The post holder will also be responsible for the Complaints Policy and ensuring that any themes or wider lessons are shared with the sector.
To be successful in this role you will need proven leadership and management skills gained working in a pressured, public facing casework/regulatory environment. Your experience should include considerable experience of investigations with a proven track record of analysing evidence and exercising judgement in complex situations.
You will need first class communication skills, with the diplomacy and gravitas to deal with a wide range of stakeholders in the casework/regulatory field i.e. Charity Commission; Information Commissioner, ASA, as well as expertise to deal sensitively with members of the public.
