Job Details

Our client is a London based charity aiming to prevent homelessness. They work closely with vulnerable and socially excluded people to help transform their lives. They are currently looking to recruit a Recovery Coordinator to support their residents in recovery in relation to education, training and employment (ETE). This position is offered on a temporary basis, initially for two months.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will provide vulnerable service users with effective and high quality support on a 1-2-1 basis, placing emphasis on goal-focused action plans, and will also facilitate group sessions. As a Recovery Coordinator you will take the lead on a designated 'key area' at the service, and will keep accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments and action plans, assisting in the implementation of current support plan objectives and focusing on developing client's confidence in undertaking the skills they need to live independently. As a Recovery Coordinator you will also maintain positive working relationships with a range of agencies and ETE providers. Alongside this, you will also support the team in carrying out housing management functions including health and safety checks, repair and maintenance checks, supporting clients, and carrying out void inspections.

To be successful in applying for this post, you must have an understanding of the issues relating to substance misuse and must have the ability to motivate people who are abstinent or reducing their use to achieve positive outcomes. You will operate with a recovery-focused approach, including using coaching and motivational interview techniques.

To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS check that is registered to the online update service. You will also be available to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday (9 am - 5 pm).
