Position: Dementia Support Manager
Location: Role covers Barnet, Haringey & Enfield
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary £26,390 actual per annum

About the role:
This role will cover the following boroughs: Barnet, Haringey and Enfield. The Dementia Support Manager will report to the Services Manager and will manage a team of Dementia Advisers and Dementia Support workers across boroughs.
The Dementia Support manager will be responsible and accountable for the overall management of the staff working in the service and will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality support services.
This role will involve liaising with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations in the area in relation to the services covered, representing the needs of people with dementia and their careers at local forums / events.
You must be able to administrate and organise your work load to ensure that it is accurate and meets quality targets within the reporting requirements and reasonable deadlines set, whilst following the Society’s management information guidelines and requirements, including ensuring appropriate monthly measures on service usage levels are collected and submitted on the services database or other systems in accordance with deadlines.
About you:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and build strong relationships across a spectrum of statutory &voluntary organisations, communities and individuals
- Good organisation and time management skills, prioritising and adhering to targets set and finding solutions to problems
- An understanding of dementia and the needs of people with dementia and their carers
- Experience of managing volunteers, staff and leading a geographical placed team
- Experience of managing the learning and development of others
- Experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies
- Experience of record keeping, report writing and extracting data figures
- Local area knowledge
- Must be able to work independently and part of a team
