Project Manager (Early Intervention Youth Fund)
£25,000, Full-Time (35 Hours)
Contract end date: 31st March 2020 (in the first instance)
Salford Foundation is working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and the ten GM Community Safety Partnerships to deliver a project aimed at reducing violent crime amongst children and young people. Funded by the Home Office, the project will support a wider whole-system approach to early intervention and prevention of youth crime and violence in Greater Manchester. The main element of the programme is the roll-out of a targeted intervention, based on the successful STEER project developed by Salford Foundation, to all 10 areas of Greater Manchester.
Supporting and enabling this roll-out is the substantive element of the Project Manager’s job role. This will be achieved through a multi-partner collaboration. The post-holder will have particular responsibility for helping local areas to identify their cohort and mobilise their project; for learning and evaluation; and for recording and reporting – ensuring the fidelity of local projects with the agreed programme model. The Project Manager will also provide support, as required, to the other elements of the project, which include: a targeted education programme; research and analytics; administration and information governance; supporting related programmes and campaigns that are seeking to reduce serious youth crime, violence and exploitation.
This role requires an experienced manager, with excellent relationship, communication and influencing skills. The post-holder must be capable of managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively within a complex, cross-sector partnership arrangement.
