Our client is a dynamic London charity working with food suppliers and charities and schools to reduce food waste and food poverty. From small beginnings in 2016 with one van and one member of staff they are now delivering the equivalent of over 3 million meals each year.

The organisation plan to expand their services and for the next 3-5 years, this growth will initially be focused in London. They already have a waiting list of charities and schools that they are unable to supply due to capacity or geographic constraints.

This is an exciting time to join this expanding charity and be instrumental in their future success.

Role: Deputy Volunteer Co-ordinator
Salary: c. £25,000 p.a. dependent on experience
Contract: Full time, permanent
Location: Park Royal or Enfield with regular travel to Central London

The Deputy Volunteer Co-ordinator will support a growing operation with the recruitment and retention of volunteers, and the development of a volunteer programme. You will be contributing to making the charity the best place to volunteer.

You will be accountable for finding and introducing new volunteers to the charity and helping the operations to create a highly positive volunteering experience. The ability to manage data and analyse and report on volunteering metrics is a key requirement of the role.

This is a varied and interesting role for a multi-skilled, organised and personable individual who is motivated to work in a dynamic young charity providing good food for good causes.

You will love working with a wide variety of people and be able to quickly build strong and positive relationships in a volunteer centric organisation. A commensurate team-player you are highly organised, numerate, data and IT savvy and efficient with your time, you are used to prioritising and making a difference wherever you go. 

You must be passionate about reducing both food waste and food poverty, have excellent communication and writing skills. You will be an enthusiastic social media user and results-focused, with the ability to overcome challenges.
