Prospectus is excited to be working with a leading homelessness charity to help them find their new Major Donor Officer, who will join their high performing fundraising team.

Reporting to the Major Donor Manager, the Major Donor Officer will be responsible for a small portfolio of major donors and prospects, implementing and refining cultivation and stewardship plans. The post holder will support the major donor team through prospect research, preparing compelling and accurate briefs, donor reports and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will enjoy relationship fundraising and will have previous experience of recruiting and retaining high value donors using written communication, events, and face-to-face relationship management. They will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate a good understanding of major donor fundraising and legislation.

The successful candidate will be a confident and self-motivated individual, who takes pride in having a personable, creative and analytical approach to achieve their goals. They will have a genuine interest in the work of the organisation and a commitment to equality and diversity.
