Job Details

We have an exciting new job opportunity in our Fundraising Events team for a Commercial Programme Lead at the British Heart Foundation.

In this job you'll be at the forefront of driving commercial success for all of our BHF organised fundraising events, which will return a vital £6m income to fund the BHF's life-saving research.

Responsible for the overall commercial, strategic, delivery and change management of the whole portfolio of BHF Events, you'll ensure it delivers the long term growth in net income required by both the Fundraising and Events Strategies to fund our life-saving research. Your role will be to create a highly profitable and market-leading portfolio of events which delivers both short and long term commercial targets.

About you

You'll provide oversight and accountability which will drive success and growth and work closely with key stakeholders and business partners making timely tactical and strategic decisions to improve our portfolio's position, at the BHF and within the wider market.

With excellent communication and team building skills you'll lead and motivate the BHF Events team, this role will set the strategic direction for the team to succeed. You'll develop excellent relationships and work in collaboration with the 3rd Party Events team and teams across the wider BHF to identify opportunities for ambitious growth and ensure the BHF's mass engagement portfolio is complementary and maximises our appeal to key valuable audiences.

You'll have excellent organisational skills able to manage and develop a diverse events product portfolio, using customer, market and financial insight to make decisions to drive long term growth in profitability

As a strategic thinker who's driven by internal and external insight, you'll be able to understand performance trends and put the supporter at the heart of decision making.

With experience of managing significant income and expenditure budgets, including monitoring, controlling and reporting on income and expenditure, producing departmental plans you will be able to ensure the BHF stay up to date with market trends and our supporters' needs and expectations.
