The TPP Fundraising and Development team are supporting a leading cancer charity - London-based with a UK-wide remit - with the search for their next Director of Fundraising. Reporting to the CEO, this is a vital role for the charity which will lead the development of the organisation's fundraising strategy, delivery of our fundraising plans and activity, and management of the fundraising team.

Since the charity was established in 2010 it has seen impressive growth in terms of reach, it's offer and income. A support line was launched in 2016, a Clinical Trials Hub in 2018 and over £2million has been invested in specialist research to date. The aim is to invest £1million into research this year. The new, 2018-21 strategy, outlines three priorities: research; information and support; and awareness and campaigning.

Fundraising success to date have been the result of strategic planning; investment into the systems needed to support fundraising; and the high level of engagement with supporters. Income growth is mainly from community fundraising and events and challenges, however there is huge potential around major donor, corporate, trusts and foundations, and legacy fundraising streams that have only recently been explored.

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate charity fundraising experience gained at a senior level. You will be looking for an exciting new role where you can make a real impact and help the charity deliver it's ambitious goals. The ideal candidate is someone who can provide insights into all types of fundraising streams; who thrives in a fast-moving and developing environment; who is motivated to maximise the charity's fundraising potential; and who relishes engagement with supporters.
