Job Details
TPP is currently recruiting for a much-loved local hospice for a Head of Major Gifts based in North West London. The hospice is a warm, friendly and happy place to work. It provides vital services and palliative care within the hospice and in the community. There are around 12 in-patients who benefit from a wide range of treatment and holistic therapy. Outside the hospice there is a large team caring for patients and families in the community. The hospice is blessed to be supported by an army of volunteers who get involved in a range of duties from manning reception to gardening the hospice large and beautiful garden.
You will be working within a large fundraising team which works in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team including nurses, doctors and social workers.
You will work closely with a supportive and innovative Director of Fundraising, whom you will deputise for when required, to deliver the high value gifts strategy. You will help to build income, working towards achievable targets, through increasing donor/supporter relations and engagement with the hospice. You will help the hospice adopt a relationship-based approach, as opposed to a transactional one, to enhance regular giving. You will line manage a newly appointed Corporate Fundraiser and an established Trust Fundraiser. You will also work in collaboration with the friendly service delivery team to encourage impact measurement reporting.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong track record in securing major gifts particularly through HNWI. You will be a real people person, with an entrepreneurial streak, to seek out new opportunities to make a real difference to those facing end of life and their families. You will have experience of organising cultivation events and providing sound stewardship to donors/supporters.
Benefits*
The role is paying £40k to £42k which is the ideal salary bracket but may stretch to £45k. The position is permanent and full time. However, an exceptional candidate may be considered part time for 4 days. If working full time 1-day WFH is possible after probation. You will benefit from a generous pension.
