Job Details

Our client is a local charity supporting over 10,000 unpaid carers. The charity has ambitious plans to develop digital solutions to better support and communicate with beneficiaries and stakeholders. The Digital Officer is a new position which will support the implementation of the charities’ digital strategy.

Position: Digital Officer

Location: Wiltshire, flexibly based at home with minimum 1 day per week in the Semington Office

Hours: Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend/evening

Salary: £22,401 - £24,657 pro rata

Benefits: 28 days holiday in addition to bank holidays, 5% employer contribution to pension, free annual eye tests.

Duration: Contract, 24 months

Closing date: Friday 25th January, 12 noon

Interview date: Friday February 8th

About the Role:

Sitting within the Communications and Digital team, but working across the charity, the post-holder will support the Communications and Digital Manager in driving the use of digital solutions by both staff and carers.

The post-holder will contribute to delivering our client’s digital policy and plan, and will provide expertise around the implementation and ongoing use of digital solutions across websites, social media and digital communications.

As a member of a small team, the Digital Officer will be expected to support colleagues by identifying appropriate sources of information, advice, benefits, equipment and services which carers can access, as well as actively contribute and participate in publicity events to raise awareness of carers’ needs.

About you:

The successful Digital Officer will be organised with the ability to work around problems.

You will be supporting the implementation of the new CRM, so previous experience of using/implementing CRM systems is essential. You will have worked with WordPress and Google analytics and have a detailed understanding of the main Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, twitter, snapchat etc).

Knowledge of digital phone systems and digital marketing (including inbound sales and PPC) would also be advantageous.
