Praxis Care, registered as a charity in 1983, is a major provider of services for adults and children with complex needs including learning disability, mental ill health, autism, acquired brain injury and dementia.

The categories described above are very broad and each holds infinite variations on how they affect the individual and their behaviours.

Under the stewardship of its founder, who is due to retire in early 2019, the organisation has developed into a respected independent charity with a turnover in excess of £40M and employing 1,400 staff that operate across the UK and Ireland. We are now looking to the future with this search for a new Chief Executive Officer who will continue this legacy and who will drive the current strategy of the organisation, which will more than double its current size over the next five years.

The CEO, as the key point of Leadership in Praxis Care is required to demonstrate and promote the value base of the organisation and to ensure that the organisational values of integrity, honesty, respect and dignity are strongly embedded in the culture and are clearly demonstrated in all interactions both inside and outside the charity.  It is also a key requirement that the person in role is accountable for the protection and rights of our Services Users and is passionate in continuing and promoting the ethos we bring to promoting their independence and helping them live to their full potential.

The task will be to continue seamlessly in the development of the organisation to help shape government policy and drive innovation and world best practice into all Praxis Care services to individuals with complex needs in line with the vision, mission and values of the organisation.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong track record of operating as part of a senior team in a challenging and complex environment where they have demonstrable experience of leading growth and transformation.

There is an information pack available outlining the job description and person specification. If you are interested in this position, are considering applying or would like to discuss the role in confidence, then please contact Neal Lucas.

The closing date for applications is 12noon on Friday 25th January 2019.
