A leading youth and community focused charity based in central London is seeking a Head of Digital Development & ICT for an exciting change based role.

Having secured recent investment the charity is looking to recruit an expert ICT specialist for a role heavily focused on project management and systems and digital change.

With 150 users across 3 sites, and a small IT team working with many outsourced suppliers, this role would be ideal for someone with experience in a similar sized organisation.

The role will involve:

-Developing and prioritising the digital strategy and roadmap, scoping and planning our new digital initiatives.

-Managing complex digital projects that have organisation-wide implications, ensuring staff consultation, planning, budget control, compliance and effective implementation

-Supporting systems integration, including between internal system and third-party platforms

-Overall responsibility of effective digital architecture to support a high performing staff team to deliver the organisational strategy and plans

-Undertaking business analysis to identify and implement options for continual improvements to efficiency and effectiveness

-Ensuring the maintenance and integrity of network and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, disaster recovery/business continuity, fitness for future digital developments

-Managing relationships with our outsourced IT support company, database providers and other relevant suppliers, and help negotiate contracts, prices and service level agreements.

-Managing the procurement of software, hardware, services and support

-Acting as the Data Protection Lead for the organisation - including maintaining and monitoring policies, training staff, maintaining records, and ensuring policies and procedures relating to incident reporting and breach handling are adhered to. Preparing the organisation for the General Data Protection Regulation and support compliance work thereafter

Candidate requirements:

-Demonstrable experience of managing large digital and/or systems projects

-Experience of managing information and communications technology across a multi-site organisation

-Highly developed understanding and experience of re-engineering processes and systems change and experience within all stages of system development lifecycle

-Experience of transforming services in response to internal strategic developments or changes in the external environment

-Great agency/supplier and stakeholder management experience

-Detailed knowledge and understanding of the practical consequences of the General Data Protection Regulations

-Experience with SQL desirable

-Prince 2 qualification desirable

-An interest in the charity sector
