Blenheim is a leading charity that helps people struggling with alcohol and substance misuse across London, by providing accessible support and help to end their dependency.
The Lewisham Primary Care Recovery Service provides a recovery-orientated model offering medication assisted treatment, alongside psychosocial interventions for people living in the borough.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and self directing individual to join us as a Primary Care Recovery Service Worker, to carry a caseload of patients on the GP shared care scheme. You provide referral processes and conduct assessments with service users, provide advice, group work and on a one-to-one basis, to ensure that care-planning and outcome monitoring is conducted on an individual basis.
You will need to have experience, a commitment to working in Partnership with GP’s and to working within a recovery model in opiate substitution therapy, alcohol interventions and harm reduction.
You will need a good understanding of the substance misuse treatment system, excellent communication and clinical skills, and the ability to work to performance targets. You should have substantial experience of working in the drug and alcohol field, and be able to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of service users. Ideally, you should have a Health & Social Care Diploma Level 3, or equivalent, or be ready to work towards this certification.
In return, we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, a wide range of training and other benefits.
Please note that we do not accept CVs. You will need to complete an online application form to be considered for this role. Please visit http://blenheimcdp.org.uk/job-listings to download the job description and apply. We regret that late applications cannot be accepted.
