Blenheim is a leading charity that helps people struggling with alcohol and substance misuse across London, by providing accessible support and help to end their dependency.

The Lewisham Primary Care Recovery Service provides a recovery-orientated model offering medication assisted treatment, alongside psychosocial interventions for people living in the borough. There are 2 posts within the recovery outreach, which has received additional funding from the local Borough.

We are currently looking for a creative, enthusiastic and self directing individual to join us as an Outreach Recovery Worker. You will carry a caseload of service users who are abstinent, who require recovery strength-based interventions, aimed at developing coping strategies, building resilience and recovery networks and tools to reach their aspirations. You will be experienced in designing and facilitating group work, and have strong recovery planning skills. You will have a good understanding of Mutual Aid, Education, Training and Employment services and the needs of service users at this point in their recovery.

You will need to have experience of and a commitment to working in partnership with treatment services, JCP, ETE services, Mutual Aid.

You will need a good understanding of the substance misuse treatment system, excellent communication and clinical skills, and the ability to work to performance targets. You should have substantial experience of working in the drug and alcohol field, and be able to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of service users. Ideally, you should have a Health & Social Care Diploma Level 3, or equivalent, or be ready to work towards this certification.
