Family Support Worker
Our client is a highly respected independent charity, which together with its subsidiary works across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners’ children and families, to prisoners, and to ex-offenders.
Position: Family Support Worker
Location: HMP Long Lartin, South Littleton, Worcestershire
Job type: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 5 per week
Salary: £8.75 per hour

About the Role:
As Family Support Worker at HMP Long Lartin you will work as one of the organisation's Family team, you will be based primarily in the prison’s visitor centre and visits hall providing support, advice and guidance to families visiting prisoners, facilitating prison visits and family days and supporting the play service.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with families in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally involving offenders and/or their families.
You will also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding work load.
You will have the ability to contribute to planning and development of our client’s family work and also have knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice.
You will be able to provide warm, human support and to ensure that children, families and prisoners are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy.
