Our client are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, events coordinator to help them run a successful Football Friends programme. 

Football Friends Events Coordinator
Location:
 Central Office, London Victoria
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £22,500 per annum, 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays, pro rata
Contract: Fixed term contract for 9 months. Immediate start.

The post holder will be integral to the day to day running of the project, ensuring strong communication with participants and their delivery partners. The role covers the administration for the project, the planning of the programme and activities for the West Ham partnerships. It also involves supporting The Hub, their volunteering and client team, with their admin duties.

This is a varied role that is part of a small but busy team working on an exciting and unique project.

Football Friends is a programme of activities and events for older football fans and works in partnership with football clubs in and around London. It gives participants the opportunity to meet new people, reminisce about their club, learn digital skills and to connect to other activities in their communities. They aim to prevent and combat loneliness and isolation by bringing people together through a shared interest.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with enquires about the programme
  • Promoting the programme and maintaining good relationships with partners
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the programme
  • Helping to deliver sessions at partner football clubs
  • Working alongside volunteers
  • Using the database to record information
  • In addition you will be supporting their volunteering & client enquiries team, The Engagement Hub.

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Ability to manage a diverse workload
  • A willingness to attend meetings and events off-site
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Positive, proactive and flexible attitude
