Job Details
An international charity which cares for sea professionals is seeking an events fundraiser. People who work at sea face many issues such as Piracy, shipwreck, abandonment and separation from loved ones. The aim of the charity is to provide and help and support to the 1.5 million men and women who face such dangers. They work in over 200 ports in 50 countries caring for seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs. The charities frontline staff visit ships, offer hospitality, drive minibuses and engage in a wide range of welfare activities.
The Role
You will plan and deliver a series of special events, including Royal, for major donors in exclusive and intimate locations. This will include drinks reception and dinners. You will also plan and deliver occasional challenge events to generate fundraising income. This is an exciting time to join the charity as it seeks to increase its individual and corporate income through a new events programme which you will plan and deliver.
Person Specification
You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to build sound rapport with supporters to encourage them to support vulnerable people. You will have previous events experience within a charity context.
