Stonewall is the UK’s leading lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) rights organisation and has achieved considerable success in changing hearts and minds by training schools to celebrate diversity.

Our Education and Youth team work with over 1,500 schools and colleges, training teachers in LGBT inclusion and empowering them to train their colleagues. These Train the Trainer courses are full-day, CPD-accredited courses covering:

• Tackling Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic Bullying and Language
• Creating a Trans Inclusive School
• Gender in the Classroom

The courses are highly regarded; in 2017-18, 99% of teachers who attended them said they’d recommend them to others.

We’re now looking for skilled and experienced trainers to help us deliver these courses on an ad hoc, freelance basis. You’ll need an understanding of the primary and secondary school system in the UK, and of their priorities, and a good awareness of how to tackle bullying and inclusion in schools and colleges.

You’ll enjoy the full support of our experienced team, with bespoke training and advice as well as regular training updates from a dedicated member of the team. To help you work around your other commitments, you can choose when you want to work and the area you’d like to work in.

We’ll hold interviews on 9th January 2019 at our offices in Clerkenwell, London. If you’re successful, you’ll need to attend a full day training course in London, between 28th and 31st January. The date will be confirmed at your interview.
