Head of Nationwide Community Fundraising

Prospectus is excited to be working with a nationwide youth cancer charity, to recruit for a new Head of Regional Fundraising. This position is going to be focused on developing the organisation’s next 10 year strategy for fundraising across all the regions and will prove to be an exciting opportunity.
This is a remote/home based position that will require some travel, offered on a nine-month contract (as the role may change with the new strategy) and has a salary of circa £53,000 per annum.
Once you have settled into the organisation, you will work with the Deputy Director of Fundraising to build their new 10-year regional fundraising strategy. This will involve reviewing the stewardship/supporter journey for community fundraisers and volunteers, redeveloping their regional corporate strategy to hone its effectiveness with more new business, and look at the overall structure of the 40+ member team to ensure it is as impactful as possible.
Day to day you will work closely with the three Heads of Regional Fundraising to ensure the teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to engage with new and existing supporters to maximise income and raise awareness of the charity. As the regional leader, you will develop and deliver short and long-term income and expenditure budgets, fundraising plans and financial frameworks to raise in excess of £6million per annum with a stretch target of £7million. You will hold regular one to ones and team meetings electronically and in person, and produce regular financial reports that inform the work you and the Deputy Director do.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in a high-level strategy role focused on regional fundraising, where you would have set and managed complex income and expenditure budgets across a number of teams. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who has can work with experience staff members and deliver organisational change with a track record of success.
