Prospectus is partnering once again with the outstanding London's Air Ambulance, the charity providing advanced trauma care across the capital. We are seeking someone who is passionate and people focussed, who will lead on maintaining the smooth-running of the organisation's shop, based on the ground floor below the helipad at the Royal London Hospital!
The Retail Manager will be responsible for coordinating the volunteer rota, ensuring there is cover during opening hours while also overseeing the volunteer who you will be working alongside during your shift. You will actively monitor and report on stock control, ensuring that income and expenditures are recorded effectively, while also physically restocking the shelves as and when required. Additionally, you will have responsibility for picking up, reconciling and delivering the shop takings from the Royal London Hospital to their Head Office in Whitechapel.
We are seeking someone who is resourceful with a flexible approach, who will positively adopt the charity's core values which are; Passion, Teamwork, Professionalism, Excellence, Resilience, and Transparency.
Previous retail experience is crucial for the success of this role, ideally gained within a charity or hospice shop although this is not an essential requirement. It is very important however that this person has managed people before and will be confident coordinating and overseeing a diverse range of volunteers, therefore the ability to plan ahead and stay organised is required. A calm and professional approach will work well within this environment.
