About the role:

Have you got what it takes to build on their success so far? Then they can promise you a stimulating and varied role as their new Media Manager specialising in fundraising and engagement, a pivotal delivery role in the growing marketing and communications directorate at the charity.

You will play a vital part in positioning them as the leading dementia charity in the UK at an exciting time, following the launch of a bold new strategy last year, a rebranded annual Dementia Action Week, growing fundraising campaigns and a concerted drive to create a dementia friendly society. You will play a key role in shaping the communications approach for the UK’s biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia, leading on media strategy for their Dementia Friends, Dementia Friendly Communities and international programmes.

You will work closely with colleagues across all Directorates to develop creative, integrated campaigns that promote their brand, drive fundraising, publicise their services and galvanise individuals to join with them as part of a social movement for change.

About you:

As you might expect, building relationships with senior media figures will be an important aspect of your role. But equally important will be your ability alongside their other Media Manager in this area to inspire and develop a team of three Media Officers and a shared Media Assistant.

This role calls for experience of working in a high-profile, busy media office – including proven ability to develop integrated media relations strategies. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of working with the media to deliver impactful campaigns and key messages that shape the public agenda.

Our client is committed to equal opportunities.
