Prospectus is delighted to be supporting the UK's leading bowel cancer charity who are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of all those affected by bowel cancer in the UK. To achieve their mission, they enable and fund research, provide support and information to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all. They are currently looking to recruit a Head of Health Promotion & Education to join their passionate and ambitious team in Kennington. This role is offered on a six month, fixed term contract.

As their Head of Health Promotion & Education, you will play an important and central role in the charity, supporting the delivery of the charity's mission by informing and educating the public, public health and health care professionals about bowel cancer. Working closely and collaboratively with the Director of Services and your peers, you will develop and implement the strategic direction of the charity's health promotion and education programmes and will proactively build relationships and partnerships which will enable them to extend their impact and reach; which will in turn enable them to save lives and improve the quality of life of all those affected by the decease. With a dual focus on two of the charity's aims, you will work creatively to develop and transform their public awareness education programme that aims to raise awareness of preventative measures and support services available . In addition, you will establish strong links to connect and engage with health care professionals to grow their education, information and training programmes that are designed to enable health care professional to deliver best treatment and care.

Along with a strong commitment to the mission and values of the charity, to be successful you will have significant experience of developing and delivering Health Promotion and Education programmes at both a strategic and operational level and will have previous experience working in the health sector. You will have proven experience of managing a specialist team as well as possessing the ability to develop staff members and maintain and promote a positive working environment. Finally, demonstrable experience of and the ability to lead, manage and effectively evaluate training and education modules and programmes is essential to ensure continued success is achieved.
