The Role

The Royal British Legion’s Information Management and Technology Directorate (IM&T) is going through an ambitious period of transformation to ensure the delivery of technology solutions and services to 1,600 staff at more than 50 locations nationally.

The Chief Information Officer will play a pivotal role in leading and developing that delivery of the Legion’s strategy within IM&T and deliver technology solutions throughout the organisation ensuring all solutions have adequate support and business continuity plans in place.

Managing a team of 5 department Heads and reporting to the Director of Finance, the CIO will display strong leadership and coaching skills to ensure TRBL is best placed to ensure the delivery of an effective IT strategy.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a functional and experienced leader who can motivate a team of people.  You will be respected for your results, expertise and commitment as well as having a strong track record of developing high-performing teams.

Whether from the private, public or charity sector, you will bring first-class improvements and delivery credentials either as a previously established CIO, deputy or leader of an IT function.
