London
Events Manager
Full Time

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,328 - £42,701 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

UCL is London’s Global University. We do things differently here and we take the long view. We are not afraid to take risks. We remain focused on making a major contribution to the long term benefit of humanity. In September 2016 UCL launched ‘It’s All Academic’, our bold new global Philanthropy and Engagement Campaign to raise £600m to support students, research and the transformation of our campus ( https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=www.ucl.ac.uk%2Fcampaign&data=02%7C01%7Cucl%40penna.com%7C29dad1ab268748536eb308d652e81323%7Cf30ac191b8b445f29a9be5466cb90c2f%7C0%7C0%7C636787554037490436&sdata=Lmni1o3o3hRN52wSje3oSROgJ9nTqgt9XwcY2ZR0%2BPc%3D&reserved=0 ). It will enable us to achieve more than ever before to secure our position as one of the world’s top higher education institutions. At the end of September 2018 we are delighted to have raised more than £473m towards our target.

From fighting dementia to ensuring generations of students reach their full potential: It's All Academic. UCL’s ideas and discoveries are shaping the future, improving lives and having a massive impact on London and the wider world. There has never been a more exciting time to join our Advancement office. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we would love for you to be part of this exciting journey and our success.

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering our Campaign. As Events Manager you will create engaging, impactful events that showcase the far-reaching power of philanthropic giving to UCL and keep alumni, supporters, advocates and friends excited and engaged.

This role is a great opportunity for a professional with experience in higher education, the charity sector or membership services, to take the lead on developing and delivering a varied portfolio of fundraising, cultivation, stewardship and alumni events, in addition to bespoke donor visits and exciting capital project building openings. Working with a range of partners within the team, UCL and beyond you will deliver memorable events from initiation to completion, and post-event evaluation.

You will be a confident and experienced events professional, with best practice events knowledge and acute attention to detail, who is able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a busy, fast-paced and rewarding environment.
