Settlement Worker

Position: Settlement Worker 
Location: Binswood, Warwickshire (Commutable from Royal Leamington Spa, Coventry, Stratford-upon-Avon, Solihull, Nuneaton. Daventry and surrounding areas) 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 40 hours per week 
Salary: £16,280 to £22,582 per annum

About the role: 

They are looking for a Settlement Worker to undertake comprehensive needs and risk assessments across the Warwickshire Support Services with all clients who apply for supported accommodation in accordance with our client’s allocation procedure. 

You will ensure all clients who are offered a service are moved into the service in a supported, planned way that all bedding, supplies and welcome packs are received by the client. You will maintain effective working relationships with specialists and agencies who might offer resources, funding or individual services relevant to client’s needs. 

About you: 

The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain enthusiasm for a high level of contact time with clients on a daily basis with a proven track record of supporting clients to positively engage with services offered. You will need experience of using risk management tools in the effective management of supported housing schemes which include positive risk taking and have a proven track record of completing robust and effective assessments. 

Knowledge of the key attributes and experience of networking with outside agencies and developing partnerships will be essential. You will also need to be able to demonstrate good people skills in managing complex and difficult situations and have experience and understanding of working with a diverse and multi-cultural environment, with excellent communication and advocacy skills.
