Job Details
An opportunity has arisen to join a leading disability charity as Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships. This is on a part time basis (job share) working 21 hours a week from Wednesday to Friday. The role is paying £40-£45k pro rata.
The charity delivers disability services, community projects and education and training resources which promote inclusion and wellbeing. This is an exciting time for the charity which is investing substantially in the fundraising team and aspires to increase voluntary income by 50% over the next four years.
Purpose of the Role
You will lead the Philanthropy and Partnerships team managing three members of staff who are responsible for Trusts, Major Donor and Corporate income. You will implement strategies in these areas to deliver and sustain ambitious growth. You will work across all areas to ensure there are clear stewardship plans in place. Additionally, you will also work on capital appeals/projects. Finally, you will keep abreast of development, legislation and best practice which are likely to impact the workings of the charity.
Person Specification
You will have considerable experience in at least two of the following areas: Corporate, Trusts/Foundations and Major Donor. You will have a good track record of building relationships and generating revenue. You will also have previous management experience along with sound budget management skills. Finally, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your own time and prioritise work load accordingly.
