Our client is looking to recruit a Client Activities Coordinator to develop and implement a range of activities for people affected by cancer. This will include engaging with clients, supporters and health professionals within the charity’s national centre and in outreach locations to promote and market services.

Hours: 15 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 pro-rata per annum
Contract: Permanent
Location: Pill, outskirts of Bristol
Benefits: 25 days holiday per year (pro-rata)+ bank holidays (pro-rata) + additional days over Christmas and New Year period. Free parking in a beautiful semi-rural setting.
The post holder will develop, plan and implement all client activities at our client's National Centre, including community and creative groups, their choir and the weekly yoga and walking groups. The post holder will work within a budget for activities and be accountable for expenditure. Client activities will be evaluated and reported on ensuring that full capacity is reached on each activity. The post holder will be responsible for recruiting volunteers to support client activities at the National Centre and at external events as well as representing the Charity themselves at events to promote services.
The role requires someone with experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds as well as working with clients with cancer or other long term health conditions. Candidates should have experience of group facilitation with good presentation, organisation and administration skills. Candidates should be able to build good relationships with a proven record of working with partnerships and stakeholders and developing community based groups or projects. Experience of working within the NHS or a healthcare or complementary therapy setting would be an advantage as is an understanding of the Whole Person Approach. It is important that the post-holder is adaptable to change, can work on their own initiative and demonstrate a personal robustness and coping strategy for the work required.
