Apparently young people like watching video content. And it turns out old(er) people are also partial to watching stuff. Given this revelation, we're looking for an expert videographer to help create motion pictures which are both informative and endearing.
CLIC Sargent’s communication teams have big ambitions, which means being braver and more creative than ever before. As a result, we’re expanding, and we need great people to help achieve those ambitions.
We don't expect you to have a Bafta. Not yet anyway. What you will have is the ability to shoot and edit films to support our fight for young lives against cancer. At CLIC Sargent we're trying hard to push the boundaries creatively, so while a short film of a family sitting on a sofa telling their story might work in some cases, we're looking for that and a bit more creativity. What that looks like in practice is up to you to develop, but if it helps young people and families through the scary and often overwhelming experience of cancer, and convinces supporters to join our fight, that's good with us.
Location: London - Office
Job type: Full Time, Initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Benefits: In return we offer a competitive salary, impressive benefits, tea, cake and the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting charities around.
Closing Date: 21 December 2018
About the role:
This exciting new role will need you to engage with teams right across the organisation, so you'll need to be able to build solid relationships and be a great ambassador for our brand. As well as creating video content, you'll work with agencies when films are produced by others on our behalf, and share best practice to help staff and young people with user-generated content.
You'll be able to maintain a positive attitude and high levels of creativity in a fast-paced environment, and most important of all is a passion for your work and our fight for young lives against cancer.
We like to think there'll be a stampede for this fantastic job, so we reserve the right to close the advert early to make sure we're not still shortlisting in March.
We're always looking for talented people from all backgrounds, to join us and help improve the lives of children and young people with cancer and their families. We particularly want to encourage people from under-represented groups to step forward and apply to work or volunteer with CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
