Regional Fundraiser – South East
Home-based position with frequent travel around SE England
£27,500 per annum plus benefits – 37.5 hours per week
Macular disease is the main cause of sight loss in the UK today. We would like to recruit a dynamic Regional Fundraiser – South East with the energy, enthusiasm and experience to realise our ambitious goals to increase our income in order to move closer to a cure for macular disease.
This role will work closely with the Community and Events Fundraising Manager and the Challenge Events Officer to ensure the growth of community income.
About you:
You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a community fundraising role and a good understanding of raising income from community and challenge events. Ideally, you will also have experience of income planning and analysis in order to help predict income across your audiences.
You will be committed to the highest level of donor care to all community relationships in your region. You will have strong written and oral skills and be able to work independently under your own initiative, and cooperatively as part of the fundraising team. You will have a strategic attitude to approaching various community audiences in order to maximise income generation.
You must be a qualified driver and have access to a car. You may be required to work outside of normal working hours, for which you will receive time off in lieu.
You will research, and liaise with, key regional audiences to identify and recruit new and potential supporters to encourage third-party community fundraising events, in order to hit agreed income targets in your region. You will also identify and recruit new and potential challenge eventers and encourage them to sign up to our series of challenge events.
You will be resilient, resourceful and flexible. A knowledge of low vision would be helpful and a working knowledge of a charity CRM database would be advantageous.
This role is subject to an enhanced DRB check.
