Prospectus is excited to be working with an environmental campaign group to help them recruit for a Major Donor Officer position that will manage a newly created philanthropy programme. You will sit in a high performing Major Donor team of four that is focused on both acquisition and retention of high-value donors with a passion for the environment and sustainability.

This is a newly created position so is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract paying between £26,500 and £32,600 with the potential for the position to go permanent.

The Major Donor Officer will manage the new philanthropy programme under the guidance of the Major Donor Manager. You will focus on prospect researching and then recruiting new high-value donors who have an interest in the campaign work that they undertake. As part of the role, you will also provide donor care to existing supporters across the team and help medium and high-value donors on their stewardship journey.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience and confidence in building relationships and donor management cycles. You should have a good understanding of what motivates people to give, what excellent donor stewardship looks like, when to make asks, and how to thank donors, including personalised communications to top-tier donors.
