Our client is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. They help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built. 

Position: Events Production Assistant 
Location: Hampton Court Palace, London 
Job type: Full time, 2 year Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 36 hours per week, Evening, weekend and public holiday working required 
Salary: £27,026 per annum 

About the role: 

Our client is reaching out to new audiences through fresh programming, big national events, and increased digital interaction; they are deepening their relationships with current and repeat users and broadening the diversity of their audiences overall; innovation and creativity, strategic partnerships and an audience-focus are central to their approach. 

They are looking for an organised, dedicated and ambitious Events Production Assistant to join their Public Engagement Department. This enthusiastic and motivated person will assist in the planning, organisation and delivery of large-scale events across the palaces. 

Their aim is to establish the organisation as a go-to destination for engaging, participatory and enjoyable large-scale events and festivals, predominantly aimed at a family audience. In this role you will support the Events and Partnerships team to deliver a series of events to realise this aim and increase the reach and impact of the organisation’s Public Engagement programme. 

About you: 

The role will initially be working on Horrible Histories Live on Stage, Tudor Jousts and Medieval Festivals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their experience of working within events - preferably with an interest in the arts, culture or heritage sector. You’ll be liaising with internal and external contractors, organising resources and carrying out events administration. 

To be successful you will have previous events production experience working on large scale events or stage productions. In addition to this you will have a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be a real team player with, of course, a willingness to work unsociable hours during events and a flexible attitude towards working hours and travel.
