The Organisation

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women in a new phase of development by assisting with the recruitment of a number of newly created key positions, including a Director of Finance and Corporate Services. Their vision is a world where women have the equal opportunities necessary to establish and grow businesses, resulting in a brighter future for women themselves and their communities as a whole. Working in partnership with non-profit, private and public sector organisations, the Foundation develops programmes that build confidence, capability and capital in women.

 

Having recently undergone a strategic review The Cherie Blair Foundation recognise the need to invest in order to make the organisation fit for purpose for the future therefore are now in the process of recruiting a number of key positions to allow the organisation to deliver their ambitions for income and impact over the next three years and beyond.

 

The Role

 

The new Director of Finance and Corporate Services will lead the Foundation's corporate services functions and ensure the Foundation has the systems and processes in place to run effectively, efficiently and in compliance with all applicable legislation. You will provide high-quality corporate services across finance, human resources, IT and administration that enable the Foundation to deliver impact for women entrepreneurs.

 

The Person

Experience and skills to include:

- Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience in a senior financial management positions

- Highly analytical and strategic, you will have proven ability to summarise complex organisational information in a way that highlights key issues and risks

- Significant experience of supporting complex decision-making and risk management effectively across charity settings and with senior stakeholders

- Experience of managing outsourced finance functions, and/or other outsourced service providers

- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to respond to rapidly changing work priorities

- Strong commitment to the Foundation's visions, mission, values and goals with a passion for women's economic empowerment
