Head of Day to Day Repairs 
South-West Based – Centred from Exeter with regular travel to Weston Super-Mare and Pool (Cornwall)

We’re now seeking a Head of Day to Day Repairs to join us to lead our repair teams throughout the South-West.

Your Role 

As the Head of Day to Day Repairs, you will take the reins of our day to day repairs service which forms one of three workstreams within the LiveWest Internal Maintenance Service (Day to Day Repairs, Mechanical & Electrical, Component Installation & Voids). 

In this pivotal role, you will manage all day to day repairs activities specifically focusing on planning, budgeting and delivering responsive repairs. You will manage a skilled workforce of over 100 staff which will be supported by contractors. 

Your role will also include: 

- Setting out a clear vision and the standards for the function 
- Managing budgets of £20M+ 
- Building a culture of openness, customer focus, accountability and high performance 
- Ensuring adherence to all legislative, regulatory and LiveWest standards 
- Providing an effective and efficient customer scheduling, planning and access service 
- Taking the lead in continuous improvement activities to enhance end-to-end operations 

About You 

To be considered as the Head of Day to Day Repairs, you will need: 

- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of managing similar repair or maintenance services within the housing and/or repairs sector 
- An appropriate construction safety certificate (such as SMSTS), a CDM or H&S qualification (such as a NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent) 
- A higher level qualification in a construction related field and/or a professional housing qualification 
- A high level of IT literacy with reporting and management tools to support performance management 
- Effective report writing and presentation skills 

This is the ideal role for an individual with experience as the Head of Repairs, Head of Day to Day Repairs, Head of Maintenance, Head of Construction Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, Construction Repair Manager, Head of Works, Head of Maintenance Operations, or Head of Construction Operations.
