Myeloma UK is an independent charity working innovatively, collaboratively and passionately to support and educate myeloma patients and their families, and to invest in research to benefit patients now and in the future.  Together our staff and Board have developed a compelling vision, ambitious goals and clear purpose to ensure that people impacted by myeloma have their needs met.

We are currently looking to recruit a Treasurer of the Trustee Board, to add significant financial experience to the Board’s current skill set.  The Treasurer is the leading interface between Trustees and management on all financial matters. We are looking for the Treasurer to take up the position from the start of 2019.

About the role

As Treasurer you will be responsible for maintaining an overview of the organisation's financial affairs, safeguarding its financial viability and ensuring that proper financial procedures and records are maintained.

You will be a Board member, sharing responsibility for the strategic direction of the organisation, supporting the charitable objectives of Myeloma UK and ensuring sound governance.

Board meetings take place in London quarterly and as for all Trustees of this charity, this is a voluntary, unremunerated role, where the rewards come from making a contribution to improving the lives and outlook for myeloma patients, and from engaging in a world of fascinating medical and scientific discovery that will ultimately converge on a cure for myeloma.

If you would like further information about this role, please contact Eleanor Hughes on 0131 557 3332 or eleanor.hughes@myeloma.org.uk

We very much hope to hear from you.  To apply, please send a CV and covering letter to Eleanor Hughes on eleanor.hughes@myeloma.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 17 December 2018.
