We are looking for a target-focussed, highly motivated individual with event management and fundraising experience to lead on implementing and delivering an agreed portfolio of fundraising events.

The Events manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a busy schedule of fundraising events in order to raise funds, to achieve an annual budget in excess of £400K and increase participation amongst our supporters and volunteers.

This role will work collaboratively with the Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager and Events Team to maximise income generation opportunities for Saint Francis Hospice. Together, you will plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate the Fundraising Team’s activity and develop new projects to raise awareness and increase income. You will be creative, an ‘ideas’ person who will contribute to the development of new, innovative event activity throughout our catchment area. You will have established links in Brentwood, Havering, Barking & Dagenham, West Essex or Redbridge and will work with community leaders to raise awareness of and support for the hospice. 

The successful candidate will have proven event fundraising and management skills and experience, with the ability to deliver challenging targets while managing multiple projects. You will also have experience of setting and managing budgets.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with people of all levels, to deliver clear instructions and outstanding customer service to supporters and volunteers. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate, persuade and negotiate.
