IT Project Manager (Engagement) 

It is an exciting time for our client as they embark on a major transformation programme. Our client's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. They are now looking for an experienced Engagement Manager to join their Digital, Data and Technology team to help them to achieve this. 

Position: Engagement Manager 
Location: Plymouth, Devon, PL6 5WS (Commutable from Hybridge, Tavistock, Liskeard, Ivybridge and surrounding areas) 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37 hours per week (min 24 hours a week); Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time 
Salary: £39,265 to £42,868 (inclusive of IT allowance of £4,609)

About the role: 

They are looking for an Engagement Manager who will engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation, third-parties and customers to ensure that our client build and improve systems which are compatible and deliver business requirements and develop proposals for IT related business change. You will ensure all internal and external stakeholders are informed and consulted about any changes that may impact them. 

This role is located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, their environmentally friendly offices provide a great setting in which to work. Hundreds of miles of stunning coastline and 368 square miles of Dartmoor National Park are within easy reach. 

About you: 

They are looking for an effective, self-motivated individual with significant knowledge and experience of software development lifecycles and delivery approaches. You will have demonstrable evidence of planning at a strategic level and proven experience of project, programme and other governance. In addition, you have the ability to plan and prioritise your own and team workload across multiple activities and can respond quickly to changing circumstances. 

The Successful candidate holds a qualification in Information Technology or a related area (Degree Level or equivalent) or significant experience in an IT field. You will also have significant experience of strong customer focus and effectively communicating and influencing / negotiating with senior colleagues and customers as well as strong relationship building expertise with internal and external customers. 

The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for ourclient. They are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the directorate’s teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take their major transformation programme forward. These teams are at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide their customers with cutting-edge digital services.
