Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and have vacancies for Relief Support Workers.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset (Commutable from Bristol, Bridgwater, Wells, Burnham on sea and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 34 hours per week (availability of role at 18 hours & a role at 16 hours to total a 34 hour job split)
Salary: £16,572 to £22,425 pro rata per annum

Closing date: 30 November 2018
Interview dates: 11 December 2018

About the role:

The Weston-Super-Mare Services provide supported accommodation for a range of clients, specifically young people between the ages of 16-25, young mums. Clients may stay for up to 6 months within their Service.

Some Services are staffed 24 hours a day by an experienced team who have experience with working with young people with complex needs and young parents

They are looking for support workers who can support the vulnerable clients and cover shifts over weekdays, weekends and nights.

You will effectively support with the management of the full range of housing clients in order to help them move towards independent living.

About you:

To be considered for this role you will have experience in providing effective support to clients within a supported housing environment. You will possess a clear understanding of the service delivery and resources available for those within supported housing to help them move towards independent living. Strong administration and communication skills are essential.

You will ensure that all service users are given the security and support to maximise their independence, dignity and choice in accordance with the aims of the project. Candidates will need a patient and calm professional manner and a fair, non-discriminatory and non-judgemental approach.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for this role.
