Finance Business Support Officer (5 days)

£35K - £37K

Family Support is an independent organisation providing services to the local authority, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Our independence allows us to be agile in the way we deliver our service and requires that our staff are agile and flexible. We are currently looking for a Finance Business Support Officer, to provide a first-class service to our colleagues and our families.

The successful candidate will be an AAT qualified or CCAB part qualified finance professional. The role will form an integral part of a team of support officers, ensuring the organisation has financial integrity. The role will also provide support to the pool of support officers in their delivery to a team of professionals (Social Workers, Family Support Practitioners, Early Years Advisors and Children’s Centres) in Hammersmith and Fulham. You will be responsible to a member of the senior management team and be responsible for the smooth running of all financial matters across the organisation, with the support of an outsourced finance firm.

You will be expected to act as a mentor for junior colleagues, demonstrating best practice and behaviours. You may be required to work out of different Hammersmith and Fulham sites and have day to day flexibility as things change. Although your main role will not be customer focussed, this role does require an individual who is able to cope under pressure; put aside their main daily output to assist vulnerable members of the community from all walks of life, providing a welcoming front of house as required.
