Office Administrator (Volunteer Development) 

Unite against dementia 

Our client is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Business Administrator (Volunteer Development) 
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands 
Contract type: Full time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £19,031 actual per annum 

Closing date: 5pm on Monday 26th November 
Interview date: Monday 3rd December 

About the role: 

The Volunteering Development Team is leading the delivery of the Volunteering Vision and has recently expanded and grown to support the demand for volunteers and to enable the best volunteering experience. The Team has over 70 employees and volunteers and is dispersed across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

They are inspired by many things - from the resilience of people and families affected by dementia to the generosity of the public in supporting their range of dementia support services, their fundraising activities, supporting their campaigning calls to action and their significant research programs. But nothing inspires them more than the thousands of volunteers who make their work possible. They not only account for the majority of their workforce; they bring with them a level of commitment and expertise that is successfully driving their vision of a world without dementia. 

You will be joining the Society at a particularly exciting time. As the UK’s leading dementia support and research charity, they are part through their ambitious 5-year Strategy and have a Volunteering Vision which underpins their development to, grow and develop their volunteering activities… 

About you: 

As their Business Administrator you will deliver high quality administration support across the whole Volunteering Development Team, enabling the team to do their jobs more effectively and present their work and activities effectively. Educated to BTECH or HND level qualifications or with equivalent business experience you will have experience of creating, developing and implementing office systems and procedures. You will have regularly organised administered and coordinated meetings and events to support others in working together. Plus have a wealth of experience in collating and formatting reports for senior managers and key stakeholders.
