Blenheim, as part of a new tender, will be delivering the Haga Haringey Alcohol Service. The Service will be part of the integrated Haringey Treatment System. The Service will offer support for individuals to make positive, healthy changes to their lifestyle particularly relating to their alcohol use.  The Service will support people to maintain their recovery by providing a range of interventions including 1:1 keywork sessions, groupwork, family work and counselling.  Coproduction will be at the heart of the service.

Blenheim are recruiting a Band 6 Alcohol Liaison Nurse. You will be responsible for the assessment and engagement of individuals accessing North Middlesex University Hospital for alcohol related and complicated conditions. You will provide initial assessment, cognitive screening, brief motivational interventions and referral and signposting to appropriate allied health services. You will also act as an expert resource for the hospital around the NMUH CIWA-Ar protocol and management of alcohol withdrawal. You will also support the nursing team around assessing service users in order to establish need for alcohol detoxification treatment and will contribute to delivery of nursing clinics, community alcohol detoxifications and referral and coordination of residential detoxification treatment.  You will contribute towards the wider alcohol treatment service contractual targets and line provide line management for members of the staff team.
