Description

  • Deliver strong relationship management to funders and partners, including producing reports, tailored communications and timely feedback
  • Identify and research new sources of funds through market and prospect research, networking, and working with colleagues across the organisation to secure the funding
  • To research, prepare and present funding bids, proposals and documentation to maximise opportunities for gaining support from trusts
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure you are kept up to date with developments and that all communications with trusts are up to date
  • Ensure all Trust fundraising activity and reporting is accurately recorded and maintain accurate and organised information systems
  • Keep abreast of relevant developments, legislation and networks
  • Build a productive working relationship with other members of the fundraising team and with other teams across the organisation globally
  • Effectively communicate the issues related to the organisation's work to internal and external audiences

Profile

Essential

  • Demonstrable fundraising experience with particular experience in successfully securing income from trust and foundations or statutory bodies
  • Understanding of trends in trusts and foundations funding and wider fundraising techniques
  • Experience developing and maintaining a pipeline of donors, and securing small and medium value funding
  • Experience research prospecting of charitable foundations
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with an ability to build strong relationships, with particular reference to telephone and face to face meetings
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) - particularly the ability to write compelling and persuasive funding applications
  • An up-to-date knowledge of the fundraising sector, key trends and developments
  • Ability to work within both a team and independently, and with a flexible, can do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience working within the third sector
