Support Administrator (Housing)

Do you have excellent communication skills and a desire to learn? This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Support Administrator to join an established Housing Advice team.

Our client provides practical help to those who have been paralysed by spinal cord injury. The Housing advice service provides advice and support to resolve housing related issues and ensure their clients have somewhere appropriate to live.

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £21k per annum

The Role

The Support Administrator will be the first point of contact for clients and referrals. You will maintain regular contact with clients and liaise with external agencies when responses are needed. Ensuring you maintain accurate records and adhere to data protection legation, you will work with the Housing Advice Manager to ensure all clients receive timely support. Monitoring the housing advice enquiry line, you will be required to provide initial support and implement case files for new referrals and maintain the relevant database and spreadsheets. This role supports the Services Team and is both interesting and rewarding.

The Person

As the first point of contact for clients, you will be extremely organised with an excellent telephone manner and have great communication and administration skills. Due to the nature of the client base, you will have experience in managing conflicting deadlines and be able to work confidently in Microsoft Office. You will have accurate record keeping skills and the ability to work with confidential data.

This is an entry level position for someone with a desire to learn. Previous experience within a support role and knowledge of the housing sector would be an advantage, but not essential.

More important is your common sense approach, ability to communicate clearly with clients and keep accurate records of communication. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in Charity, support, disability and housing.
