Are you confident and creative, empathetic and compassionate? Do you want a job where no two days are the same? Then this could be the opportunity for you!

Our client are looking to recruit Community Support Workers to Join their Community Outreach team in Worksop and surrounding areas of Bassetlaw. You will be providing support for individuals in their own homes, for people who may have learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism and/or physical needs. You will help with daily living tasks including personal care, accessing the community, budgeting and other life skills.

Full & Part Time hours available

No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. The ability to treat people with dignity, empathy and compassion is essential. As part of their drive to achieve excellence through continual learning, you will benefit from extensive training and development opportunities within a supportive and rewarding environment.

Please note that due to the needs of the customers, there may be an element of moving and handling involved in the role; as such, you will need to be willing and able to undertake these duties.

The hours of work consist of flexible shifts over a 24 hour period including weekends, bank holidays, waking nights and sleep-ins. A 33% bonus is paid for waking nights and double time paid for Christmas and New Year shifts. In addition, an allowance of £36.24 is paid for sleep-ins.

Due to customer locations and shift times, public transport is not always reliable. Therefore access to your own vehicle which is covered with business insurance is essential for this role.

*Travel expenses will be reimbursed if you have Business Cover on your insurance.

All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check; costs will be met by the client.

*10 Reasons to work for them:

  • Competitive salary
  • Free Health cashback plan; claim up to £100 for dental treatment, optician fees and other benefits
  • 28.5 days statutory annual leave + bank holidays
  • On-going training and development opportunities
  • Reward and recognition for staff who go the extra mile
  • Staff social activities sponsored by the organisation
  • Free Enhanced DBS where applicable
  • Benefits scheme offering discounts and cashback at high street shops and major supermarkets, gyms etc.
  • £250 for referring external candidates for a Care Assistant or Support Worker role
  • Free confidential access to 24hr assistance program for counselling, advice and support

Closing date: Friday 30th November 2018.
Interviews will be arranged on an ongoing basis.

All successful candidates will complete a basic numeracy and literacy test as part of the recruitment process.

As a Disability Confident and Equal Opportunities Employer, they welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates including those from black and minority ethnic (BME) groups and disabled candidates.
