Our client’s mission is to help end youth homelessness in the UK, and to do so through their partnerships with and support from the property and construction industries. With the funds they raise they support outstanding charities across the UK, enabling them to deliver life-changing services for young people who are, or have been, homeless, as well as those at risk of homelessness. Through a unique network of corporate partners and an impressive calendar of awareness raising and fundraising events they’re able to help companies achieve impact they could never achieve alone, and to promote the work of charities who might never get through the doors of corporate supporters.

This is an exciting time for our client. They hit £3m turnover in 2017/18, raised £800,000 through events and have a record number of supporters on board, backing their work. They are now seeking an exceptional Head of Programmes and Impact to lead the grant and free property advice programmes. Working closing with the Grants Committee (which you will service), and supported by a small and experienced team, you will identify and recommend projects for grant funding, help to meet their target to provide 450 bedspaces for young people by March 2020 and oversee the final stages of their support for City YMCA (London)’s new accommodation project. You will also lead on measuring and understanding our client’s impact, to ensure they are making the right investments or interventions and strengthening corporate partnerships.

To excel in this role, you will be an effective project or programme manager with experience of working at a senior level within a charity/third sector organisation and a good understanding of the fundraising and grant awarding sector. A successful leader and people manager, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to motivate and empower teams to achieve targets and KPIs. Most importantly, you’ll be keen to work with, listen to and learn from our client’s charity partners and to be guided by evidence of lasting impact in order to really make a difference to youth homelessness.

A great opportunity to work with a truly remarkable charity, with extraordinary potential. If this role sounds exciting to you, we’d love you to apply.

Other roles you may have experience of include: Impact Manager, Head of Programmes, Programmes and Impact Manager, Charity Programme Manager, Head of Development, Project Development
