Prospectus is excited to be partnering with a leading homeless charity that strives to be inclusive. Actively working across all aspects of society, they seek to influence and act as an advocate for homeless people across London. They are currently looking to recruit a temporary Assessment & Resettlement Worker to join their dedicated team in Westminster. Cover is required for the a minimum of two months.

As an Assessment & Resettlement Worker, you will provide quality support to men and women who find themselves rough sleeping in Westminster by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay for up to 28 days whilst planning their resettlement. Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs, you will work in conjunction with the wider team by carrying out comprehensive assessments, facilitating the rapid resettlement of all individuals who are referred and accepted by the assessment centre service. Your role will be focused on providing individuals with personalised case management support to help them resettle and understand the benefits of reconnecting them to support networks in their home area or where they have proven links.

To be successful, you will have proven experience of undertaking comprehensive assessment and resettlement support to socially excluded clients in an assessment centre or similar setting. Client focused, you will possess the ability to effectively engage with service users with complex needs including those with challenging behaviour. Finally, knowledge of the relevant legislation, policy and practice including housing legislation, rough sleeping strategies and mental health act is essential along with the understanding of the causes of homelessness.

This is a temporary position that is expected to last two months. To be consider, you will be able to work a 7-day rota including early, late and weekend shifts. You will also be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS that is registered to the online update service and be available to start immediately.
