Casework and Family Involvement Officer
Our client is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.
They have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, organised and approachable individual to join their Supporting Families Team in working with parents/family carers of both children and adults with learning disability or Autism.
The role involves managing a varied caseload, providing families with information, advice and support around health and social care, well being and completion of relevant paperwork. The post-holder will also develop and participate in family carer groups and activities as well as coordinating their Peer to Peer project.
They are looking for someone with a can do attitude who can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the role and who will bring a flexible and positive approach to developing this vital area of work. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential as this role will involve facilitating groups and recruiting and supervising peer parent volunteers. Ideal candidates will also have some experience of delivering group work and positive outcomes to vulnerable client groups, as well as providing guidance to parents/carers of people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
They are dedicated to staff development and supervision and they will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support. They are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and they are looking to recruit people who share these values. Salary: Casework and Family Involvement Officer (Ref: CFIO-1118)
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Hours: Full time/part time, 35 per week
