Prospectus is delighted to be working with the Greater London Fund for the Blind to recruit their new Head of Events and Community Fundraising.

GLFB raises funds in support of work which eliminates isolation and ensures social, cultural and economic inclusion for blind and partially sighted people across London. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation as they grow their fundraising team and embark on a transformational new strategy led by inspirational beyond profit sector leaders.

The Head of Events and Community will be responsible for the strategic development of community fundraising, static media collections, and challenge events. In addition, responsibilities will include developing and delivering a high return on special events and delivering cultivation events for the wider fundraising team. The Head of Community and Events will directly line manage two members of staff and a team below.

The selected candidate will have a track record of achieving income targets, both personally and through leading a team of fundraisers. GLFB is looking for candidates with line management experience and a range of experience in managing various events (special and challenge). The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial and flexible in their approach with strong interpersonal and project management skills.
