An exciting opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives.
Our client has operated a home care service since 2005 and currently provide care for more than 130 people across Surrey and parts of West Sussex. They give care to help people live as independently as possible in their home.
Position: Supervisor - Care & Support
Location: Crawley West Sussex (RH10) Redhill Surrey (RH1)
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £22,119.74 pa + overtime payments + benefits
Benefits: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme. Travel expenses at 45p per mile. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. Transform Housing & Support will pay for an enhanced DBS, Uniform, Training and the Employee Assistance Programme.
Closing Date: Monday 3 December 2018 at noon
About the role:
The Care & Support Supervisor will manage a team of staff to deliver a professional, caring and CQC compliant service to older and vulnerable clients in the East Surrey and Crawley areas. This will include some personal delivery of care at times and a willingness to work outside of normal office hours as the needs of the service require. The main office is situated in Redhill.
Ensuring clients’ privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times our Supervisors liaise on a regular basis with clients, their relatives or advocates, and a range of other professionals. Our Supervisors are also responsible for devising and reviewing support plans for clients which offer the best options for enhancing their independence as well as ensuring their safety and security.
About you:
You will have a good general education to GCSE standard or equivalent, with an NVQ3 or higher being desirable and have experience of working in the care and supported living environment as well as knowledge and understanding of support planning and risk assessment. Experience of managing a team and liaising with external stakeholders is desirable.
As well as good written and oral communication skills, you will have the ability to plan and prioritise workloads. It is also essential that you have IT skills including MS Office Word and Outlook.
You must have a full valid driving licence, as well as use of your own car for work purposes and a enhanced DBS clearance will be required.
You may have experience of the following: Care and Support Supervisor, Charity, Charities, Care Supervisor, Third Sector, Not for profit, Senior Support Worker, Residential Care, Support Team Leader, Support Supervisor, Care Team Leader, Support Worker etc.
