Job Details

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The newly created Information function at Unicef UK ensures that enterprise technology supports the operational and strategic needs of the organisation. We deliver all data, information and technology related services and initiatives. Data is central to our ambitions for developed supporter engagement and to build an organisation for the digital age so, this is an exciting time to join us.

The Senior Marketing Selections Officer is responsible for prioritising and supplying data for marketing campaigns and performing checks on the quality and accuracy of the data supplied. You will also expected to give expert advice to support and guide marketing staff and managers as well as provide support and guidance to the two Marketing Data Selections Officers.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience of using a logical and structured approach to problem solving, a good knowledge of business process concepts and strong SQL skills, and you will also be able to undertake complex queries of datasets.  You will have excellent skills in interpreting numerical information in a range of formats, extracting key features, identifying anomalies and drawing sound business conclusions.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced developer, programmer, data or business process analyst or similar, with considerable experience of working with a significant customer relational database (including SQL).

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Thursday 22 November 2018.

Interview date: Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 December 2018.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
