A successful social enterprise and charity is seeking to appoint a part qualified (AAT or ACA/ACCA/CIMA/similar) Finance Officer. The role would suit someone already studying part-time or who is about to begin to study. Reporting to the Executive Director Enterprise and Operations, you will become an important member of a collaborative finance function. The main duties of the role will be:
To lead the month-end process and assist in the production of monthly and quarterly management accounts
To liaise with budget holders and be the first point of call with all accounts queries
To actively support year-end closure including production of financial schedules, preparation for the annual audit and compilation of the annual accounts
To make preparations to ensure we comply with 'Making Tax Digital' requirements
To contribute to budgeting and cash flow forecast models
To ensure that financial systems and processes are in place and operating effectively in the new financial year (April onwards)
To liaise with the Finance Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the department
The successful applicant will:
be (or be about to start studying to be) part qualified AAT or ACA/ACCA/CIMA/similar
have practical experience of working within a finance department
have experience with and competency in accounting packages
have a fun and flexible approach to work
